Colchester United are running the rule over former Charlton Athletic defender Yado Mambo.
The 21-year-old centre-back is training with the U’s, after being released by the Addicks at the end of last season.
Mambo, a tall, powerful defender, was on loan at League One side Shrewsbury Town last year and played in their 0-0 draw with the U’s at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, in April.
Mambo, who has also had loan spells at the likes of AFC Wimbledon and Ebbsfleet United, made three League Cup appearances for Charlton but did not feature in the league for them, during his time at the Valley.
