COLCHESTER United boss Joe Dunne admits he is weighing up his options ahead of tonight’s Capital One Cup tie at home to Peterborough United.
But he insists that whatever team he pitches into first-round action, his players will still be strong and fiercely competitive.
The U’s boss, whose side kicked-off with a 1-0 win at Gillingham on Saturday, is likely to shuffle his pack with the top priority being Sky Bet League One points.
However, he says that because of his squad’s strength in depth and competition for places, any tinkering on his part will not make the starting line-up weaker.
“It’s going to be a long season so we have to look at different things and it’s possible there will be one or two changes,” said the Irishman.
“I have to look at every option and I don’t want to upset the balance, but I’m fortunate enough to have a squad of players who are ready to play.
“Any changes I make won’t make the squad weaker."
