West Mersea sailor Hannah Stodel is keen to put up a good fight when she takes to the waters off Kinsale, Ireland, for the IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championships.
The three-time Paralympian Stodel with team-mates John Robertson and Stephen Thomas, under the guidance of new coach Simon Rosier, are looking to impress at the Worlds, which starts today.
She said: “We have got a load of new stuff to test out and we have got a new coach on board with Simon so things are obviously very new with this being our first big regatta together.
“It will just be about making sure everything works as a team and to make sure we are clicking is really the biggest thing.
“Obviously we would love to medal and come home with a piece of silverware but we will see how it goes.”
