ALI Carter crashed out of snooker’s fast-and-furious Shoot-Out event at the hands of former world champion Graeme Dott.
The Colchester-born potter had battled into the last 16 but found his Scottish opponent too hot to handle, losing 61-1.
Carter had a chance at 24-1 down but missed a tricky brown into one of the baulk pockets.
Dott then comfortably saw out the rest of the frame to cement his place in the last eight.
