Luke Garbutt has been recalled from his loan spell at Colchester United by Premier League side Everton.
The attacking left-back has been outstanding for the U's since joining them on loan from the Goodison Park club last September, making 20 appearances for Joe Dunne's side.
However, Bryan Oviedo's horrific injury in Everton's FA Cup win at Stevenage last weekend has prompted the Toffees to recall Garbutt, whose loan spell at Colchester had been due to end next month.
Garbutt could now go straight into the Everton squad for their Merseyside derby against Liverpool tonight.
