Colchester United are in talks with West Ham United over a loan move for George Moncur.
The 20-year-old midfielder has linked up with the U’s in pre-season and has been training with Joe Dunne’s squad at their Florence Park training ground.
Moncur, who has previously had loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and Partick Thistle, is set to feature in Colchester’s opening pre-season friendly at Thurlow Nunn League premier division side Brantham Athletic tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).
And the England under-18 international, the son of former Spurs and West Ham playmaker John Moncur, has so far left a positive impression on U’s boss Dunne.
Dunne said: “George is still with us at the moment and a loan move is a possibility."
