Marcus Bean returned from injury as Colchester United were beaten 2-0 by Bishop's Stortford in their latest pre-season friendly.
Bean, who missed the start of pre-season because of a knee injury, played for an hour at Woodside Park as a youthful-looking U's side were beaten by two goals in the space of two minutes after half-time through Sheldon Sellears and Anthony Church.
Sanchez Watt, Dominic Vose and Alex Gilbey also featured for Colchester against the Blues, who featured former U's duo Jamie Guy and Ryan Melaugh.
Former Norwich City youngster Kevin Lokko, a central defender, featured for the U's.
