COLCHESTER and East Essex are set to come up against a former international Test player at Castle Park tomorrow.
The Shepherd Neame League division one leaders are expected to face Zimbabwean batsman Tinotenda Mawoyo, who now plays for Wickford.
Mawoyo, 28, played eight Test matches for Zimbabwe and scored nearly 500 runs, including an unbeaten knock of 163 against Pakistan in 2011.
Wickford, who lie eighth in the table, can also boast the service of former county batsman Darren Robinson, who played for Essex and Leicestershire.
Colchester captain Ben Stephens said: “Wickford have a very dangerous attack.
“We were lucky to get a draw against them earlier in the season but we can only concentrate on ourselves.”
