JOE Dunne has told his Colchester United squad they must be team players this season - or risk being shown the door.
There is plenty of competition for places within the U’s squad, following the arrival of the likes of Sean Clohessy, Dan Holman and Ben Gordon this summer.
And Dunne has stressed it is crucial that everyone plays their part for Colchester when their new campaign gets underway, on August 9.
He said: “We can’t carry anyone - we have to get a whole team through the season.
“The way we play, we need to be explosive and everyone has to play their part.
“If they don’t, they can go.”
