Colchester student Ade Ogunlewe said competing at the Commonwealth Games was a “fantastic” experience – despite missing out on the chance to race against Usain Bolt.
The University of Essex student was initially selected to represent Nigeria in the men’s 4x100 metres relay at the Games, in Glasgow.
But in a surprise move, Nigeria’s coaches opted at short notice to go for a more experienced relay team.
