NEW FC CLACTON goalkeeper Liam Daniels is up for the challenge of following in Joe Fowler’s footsteps.
The latter was named as last term’s supporters’ player-of-the-year, in his first season at the club, before joining Brantham Athletic.
However,Daniels is looking forward to the challenge of showing what he can do, at the Rush Green Bowl.
“Joe did very well during his time at Clacton,” said Daniels, who kept a clean sheet in the club’s last pre-season friendly - a 0-0 draw at home to Haverhill Borough on Saturday.
“I know he was very popular here and in some ways he’s a tough act to follow.
“But I’m up for that challenge and happy to step into anyone’s shoes."
