ALI Carter has made a glorious return to the snooker circuit after winning the General Cup, in Hong Kong.
The 35-year-old, who was born in Colchester and grew up in Tiptree, was playing in his first tournament since being being diagnosed with lung cancer, in May.
After battling his way into the final, he won the non-ranking tournament after a thrilling 7-6 success against former world champion Shaun Murphy.
