Staying put - Colchester have agreed that defender Josh Thompson will remain at Tranmere Rovers until January 24.
Colchester United defender Josh Thompson has extended his loan spell at Tranmere Rovers.
The lofty centre-back will remain with the League Two side until January 24, after the two clubs agreed an extension to his stay at Prenton Park.
Thompson, 23, whose time at Colchester has been hampered by injury problems, has so far made six league and cup appearances for Rovers after joining them last October.
