Youngsters showed their hockey skills during a successful schools tournament.
The event was organised by Rob Southgate on behalf of the Harwich Sports Association and held on the all-weather pitch at Chase Lane Primary School, in Dovercourt.
Thirteen teams took part and, after 37 games and some very competitive play, of a high standard, four teams emerged to play in the semi-finals.
The final saw some magnificent play but no goals, so extra-time was needed.
However, still neither side was able to break the deadlock so first place was awarded jointly to Chase Lane Reds and Harwich & Dovercourt High School.
Second place went to All Saints Primary School and third to Bradfield Primary.
Two special medals for men-ofthe- match went to the goalkeepers from Harwich & Dovercourt High School and All Saints Primary School.
