U's to host Charlton Athletic in FA Cup
Colchester United will host Championship side Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup third round.
The U's will face the Addicks next month at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, after the draw was made at the Millennium Stadium this evening.
It is the second successive season that the U's have reached the FA Cup third round, where they lost to Championship side Cardiff City last season.
Colchester booked their place in the third round after twice coming back to beat National League side Altrincham 3-2, on Sunday.
They had earlier beaten Wealdstone 6-2 in the first round of the competition.
The tie will be played between January 8 and 11, 2016.
