Colchester United youngster Louis Dunne has been called up to the Republic of Ireland under-18 squad for their game against England this weekend.
Dunne, who made his senior debut when he came on as a substitute in the U's 3-3 draw with Wigan Athletic earlier this month, will face England in a friendly match at St George's Park this Sunday.
Colchester manager Kevin Keen, who earned England under-18 honours himself as a player, said: “It’s brilliant.
“If you get picked for your country, it’s the biggest honour you can have.
“I would never stop anyone playing for their country."
