Dillon Barnes has become the latest player to agree a new contract with Colchester United.
The promising 20-year-old goalkeeper follows the likes of Drey Wright and Jack Curtis in committing their future to the U's.
Barnes, who is yet to make a first-team appearance for Colchester, arrived at the Weston Homes Community Stadium from non-league outfit Bedford Town, last September and has previously been on the books of Fulham and Barnet.
He impressed in his appearances for the club's under-21 side in Professional Development League under John McGreal, this season.
And now he will be hoping to force his way into the first team starting line-up under McGreal, who was appointed as the U's new first-team coach last month.
Barnes will compete with Sam Walker and James Bransgrove for the U's goalkeeper shirt, in League Two.
