Colchester United have confirmed that Gavin Massey has left the club to join the U's League Two rivals Leyton Orient.
The fee for the 23-year-old winger, who was out of contract at the end of next season, has not been revealed but he has signed a three-year deal at the Matchroom Stadium.
Massey made 178 appearances for Colchester, 170 of which came after he had joined the club on a free transfer from Watford in the summer of 2012.
He scored 21 goals for the club in that time, and picked up the Players' Player of the Year award in the 2014/15 season.
In a statement on the club website, the u's said: "We would like to thank Gavin for his efforts and valuable contribution on and off the pitch during his time at Colchester United and we wish him well in his future career."
