Kane Vincent-Young has signed a new contract at Colchester United that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.
The talented 21-year-old, who clocked up 18 appearances for the U's in League Two last season and proved his versatility for John McGreal's side, was out of contract this summer but has signed the new deal offered to him by the club.
Vincent-Young, who has played in both full-back positions and in a midfield role for Colchester, first arrived at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in September 2014 after leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
He will be hoping to force his way into Colchester's starting line-up for their opening game of the season at Accrington Stanley, on August 5.
He joins Tom Eastman, Lewis Kinsella and Drey Wright in signing new contracts with the U's over the past 24 hours.
