Brennan Dickenson is one of five players to be offered new contracts by Colchester United.
The U's player of the year for 2016-17, along with Kurtis Guthrie, Tom Lapslie, Frankie Kent and Drey Wright, have all been given the chance to put pen to paper on new deals by the League Two table.
Dickenson, who was the subject of a rejected bid by Ipswich Town last January, is currently sidelined with a long-term knee injury and is expected to return in February.
Guthrie, who hit 12 goals for the U's last season, is also currently out injured but Lapslie has been skippering John McGreal's side in the absence of club captain Luke Prosser this season and has started each of their league games, along with Kent and Wright.
