COLCHESTER racked up their biggest win of the season so far after putting bottom club Waltham Forest II to the sword.
Simon Pearson-Burton's side hit the goal trail at the Garrison against the visitors, who are yet to chalk up a victory this season.
Colchester's emphatic win was the perfect response following their disappointing 4-3 loss at fellow promotion chasers Redbridge and Ilford, in their previous game.
They lie second in the division three table, six points behind leaders Chelmsford.
Colchester will be looking for another positive result when they travel to play Brentwood II, this Saturday.
