Heybridge Swifts, Witham Town, Brantham Athletic and Coggeshall Town will all have their eyes on the draw for the first qualifying round of the FA Cup as all stayed in the draw after their preliminary round action.
Swifts and Athletic have already earned their places in the next round, but Witham and Coggeshall will have to go through a replay after nothing could separate them on Friday night.
However, the progress of FC Clacton, Stanway Rovers and Maldon and Tiptree was halted as they were all defeated in their preliminary round ties.
Heybridge, who are looking to repeat last year’s heroics when they got as far as the first round proper, won their preliminary round game against West Essex.
Two goals from Matt Price, the second from the penalty spot, and one from Sam Bantick saw them ease through with a 3-0 victory.
There was similar joy for Brantham Athletic as they also booked their place in the next round.
Craig Hughes drilled in an effort in their game against Welwyn Garden City and despite late pressure from the visitors, Brantham held on for a 1-0 win.
Witham and Coggeshall will join them in the draw for the first qualifying round, but the Bostik League division north pair will have to go again after they drew 0-0 at West Street on Friday night.
There wasn’t such good news for another Bostik League division north side, though, as Maldon and Tiptree fell to a 2-1 defeat at Haverhill Rovers.
De-Carrey Sherrif got the goal for the Jammers but it wasn’t enough.
There was also disappointment for Stanway Rovers as they went down to a 1-0 defeat at Haringey Borough, while FC Clacton were unable to find further progress as a 4-2 loss against Ware halted them in their tracks.
