YOUNG gun Ryan Clampin has signed a new deal keeping him at Colchester United.
The Academy product made his first-team debut in this season's Checkatrade Trophy game against Southampton Under-21s.
He came on as a second-half substitute.
Colchester-born Clampin, 19, has now signed a new deal taking him through to the summer of 2021.
Director of Football Tony Humes said: "He has been through the whole journey with our Academy and it's great to see another young local player representing the first team.
"He has benefitted from a full season out at Maldon and Tiptree, which pushed him closer to our first-team environment.
"We're now looking for him to become a regular in the first-team squad and then push for the first team itself."
Clampin has been with the club since he was nine.
