CHAMPIONS Frinton wrapped up their season in style with an emphatic eight-wicket victory against Cambridge Granta.
Mike Comber's men had already sewn up the Read Brothers Ltd East Anglian Premier League title but were determined to end on a high at Ashlyns Road.
As it turned out, they were in control from the start after bowling out their visitors for just 193.
In reply, they got home with eight wickets to spare to finish a magical season with another sizeable victory.
It means they finished with 443 points from their 22 games.
Swardeston were runners-up with 417 and Sudbury claimed third place with 400.
Having received the championship silverware before the match, Frinton set out to post one last victory and Cambridge were immediately in trouble after losing Douglas Rice and Daminda Ranaweera.
Their total was boosted by late-order runs from Alex Sears (61) and Jake Lawrence (40).
Comber finished with three wickets, including the scalps of both openers, and there were also three for Sri Lankan Dulanjala Mendis.
There were two wickets apiece for Ashley Watson and Ollie Bocking.
With Cambridge all out for 193, Frinton's reply got off to a poor start when Michael Griggs was dismissed for a duck.
However, Blaine Bannister led the way with 73 not out and there was also a half-century for Jaik Mickleburgh (52).
Adam Wheater chipped in with an unbeaten 37.
It meant Frinton comfortably reached their target in the 30th over - sparking an end-of-season party at Ashlyns Road.
