FORMER Colchester United loanee Aramide Oteh has been released by Queens Park Rangers.
The 22-year-old striker, who made 13 league appearances for the U's during his loan spell this season, will be leaving the Championship club after they announced their retained list today.
Oteh joined Colchester on loan from Rangers in January, having previously been on loan at the U's League Two rivals Stevenage this season.
The young striker, who scored the U's goal in their 2-1 home defeat against Exeter City in February, has also spent time on loan at Bradford and Walsall.
Oteh had started his career with Spurs prior to joining QPR, in the summer of 2017.
The forward made four league appearances for Rangers after making his debut for them in a Championship game at Millwall in December, 2017.
He scored his first professional goal for Rangers in their 3-1 win at Burton Albion, the following month.
In total, he made 22 league and cup appearances for QPR, scoring twice.
Meanwhile, QPR have exercised their option to extend the contract of former U's goalkeeper Dillon Barnes (pictured above) until June, 2022.
Barnes left Colchester in July 2019, signing a two-year contract with Rangers.
The 25-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for the West London club but has had spells on loan at Burton Albion and Hibs, this season.
Barnes made 30 league and cup appearances for Colchester having joined them in 2015, following a successful trial.
