COLCHESTER United rescued a point in a 1-1 draw with fellow relegation strugglers Oldham Athletic, on Saturday afternoon.
The result leaves the U's two points above the League Two drop zone, ahead of another vital home game against Leyton Orient, on Tuesday night.
Colchester fans have their say on their side's draw with the Latics, at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Just when I though it couldn’t get anymore crazy we have that team selection. The fact the fist half was so poor, then a few subs in the second improved things shows you all you need to know on that front. But it’s ok, it wasn’t a must win game.

Another home game against poor opposition, another 2 points dropped due to some bizarre team selection and tactics. Might as well just copy and paste fans replies every week for the article as we still need a proper manager; longer we go on without one the worse it gets.

Why is Tommy Smith still in the team? What’s happening with the manager situation?
David Clayton
Can't understand that team selection. Home against a rival so we put our best CB at left back, effectively cutting the pitch in half when attacking. Best player again left on the bench, Judge & Hannant doing little else than taking up space &wages. Proper manager required.
Chris
I think we should stop blaming the players. It starts at the top and making sure the foundation is right.
Freddie Emerson
Awful first half. Akinde is pretty useless and as soon as sears came on the game flipped on it’s head and we went at them and got the goal early in the 2nd half. Just didn’t do enough to deserve 3 points
Jack Hiskey
The way the game went we’d take a draw, got a bit lucky with the goal after a bit of magic from Noah Tuesday is as big as today. Also akinde wasn’t as good as we thought he was gonna be, and Sears is our main man as he changed the game after coming on
Liam
No disrespect to Maldon & Tiptree, but that is Wayne Brown’s level and he needs to go back there! If Oldham and Carlisle win their games in hand, we will be in the relegation zone. We need an experienced manager in ASAP.
Michael O'Brien
Poor team selection. Smith abject. Don’t like the mindset that a point at home against a relegation rival is satisfactory.
Steve Lowe
First half awful . Second half made a game of it point gained . Still in trouble though .
William Wickham
Could someone explain to me whether me & my mate can go to one off games and choose where we sit or is that still Verboeten?!
Steve Wood
The team selection made no sense and put the fans and the players on the back foot from the start. Second half was better, with a decent shift put in by the players. We also stopped the hoof ball and tried to get down the flanks.
Jeff Coates
Team selection is totally baffling. The constant chopping and changing of the team suggests panic is setting in.
Jason Drew
Can’t help but think Nouble would give us so much more down the left…Chambers is a liability, He lost out on the header for their goal and started sounding off at the other defenders. Do your own job first fella
Anthony Blizzard
I think that Colchester should’ve won today we played well in the second half then the first half
David Fincham
Not sure why we persist with 3 at the back! Really impressed with Coxe today, fair play I’ve criticised him in the past but looked good today as did Edwards and Sears. Better second half to take into Tuesday
Michael
Another home game gone by the wayside, really do fear for our survival now. The enjoyment of going to any games now is slowly dwindling thanks to Mr Cowling and his cronies.
