In the first East Anglian League meeting of the season Colchester Harriers had a strong start with a good turn out among all of the athletes.
For the under-13 girls, Chloe Young ran a strong 100 metre race, clinching second place in 15.1 seconds.
S Underwood, for the boys, also had a good race, coming fourth and finishing in 15.7s, with M Read finishing just behind in 17.4s.
Again both boys ran well in the 200 metres, finishing third in both the A and B string.
A Bird finished in fourth in the 800 metres in 3m 05s.
M More had a good day, jumping 3m 60 in the long jump.
Stephen Myatt had another good day, throwing 22.22m in the javelin, 13.02m in the discus and 5.73m in the shot, setting three new PB's (personal bests). The boys 4x100m team came fourth.
The under-15 boys were represented by M Stylianou, making his debut for the Harriers, and finishing the 100m in 15.3s with D Harrup coming fourth in the 800m in 2m 34s.
Kelly Sutton had another strong day, coming second in the 100m finishing in 13.6s.
Emily Moore continued her great start to the season by clinching first place in the sprint hurdles, finishing in 12s.
The under-17s fielded a strong team along with the senior women.
Jade Morgan came first in long jump, jumping 5m 34, and she also had a strong performance in the shot, finishing in second place with 9m 60.
Jess Mole also had another strong day, throwing 9m 36 in the shot and 28.77m in the discus.
Jessica Cutts ran the 80m hurdles in 13s. She also set two new PBs in the shot and javelin, throwing 7m 28 and 24m 59. Bethany Moore ran the 100m in 13.1s.
Lucy Mapp jumped 1m 50 in the high jump, getting a third place.
The girls also ran a strong 4x100 metre relay finishing in first place.
David Lo continued to shine in the 100m, finishing in 12s with Sam Baker finishing in 12.6s and Chris Myatt in 12.7s.
Myatt and Baker also had good runs in the 200m.
Tom Cutts continues to develop in the 400m, running a strong 54.5s, setting a new PB and David Lo in 53.3s.
Cutts also had a good day with the throwing events, throwing 4.23m in the javelin and 11.08m in the shot.
The 4x100m boys' relay team came first, running 47.9s.
The senior men saw Michael Holden competing in both the long jump and javelin.
Dan Moles had a good day throwing 20.86m in the hammer, the discuss 23.17m and 8.73m in the shot.
The 3,000 metre runners did them proud with Spowage finishing in 9m 22.8s, T Herbert finishing in 9m 22.2s, Chris Sellens in 9m 30.2s and J Mears in 9m 49.1s.
Overall the team finished in fourth place.
