Colchester United manager Geraint Williams has continued his revamp of his squad, with four more players leaving the club today.
Danny Granville has been released after less than a year at the club, while on-loan defenders Adam Virgo and Bela Balogh have returned to their respective clubs, Celtic and MTK Hungaria.
And goalkeeper Aidan Davison has decided to retire, after a successful career spanning more than 20 years.
The four departures takes the number of senior players who have left Colchester since their relegation to the Coca-Cola Championship to nine.
Kevin Watson, Luke Guttridge, Tom Devaux and Tom Webb were all told they were surplus to requirements last week, while veteran striker Teddy Sheringham has retired.
