Any doubts that Colchester Harriers were not one of the leading clubs in the area were dispelled when their athletes achieved a massive haul of 26 medals on the second and third days of the Essex AAA County Championships at Basildon.
The collection was added to the three medals won on day one.
Harriers' weekend started the way it was to carry on, with Catherine Holdsworth and Jade Morgan winning the senior and under-20 respective women's long jump competitions with leaps of 5.87 metres and 5.35m.
These two finished the day with a hat-trick of medals each.
Holdsworth comfortably won the senior women's 100m hurdles in 14.02 seconds and the shot putt with an 11.88m throw, while Morgan also won the junior women's shot with 10.22m and the triple jump with an 11.40m jump.
Emily Moore added to her impressive 200m title from day one with an even more impressive 11.43s win in the under-15 girls' 75m hurdles - a new club record.
Her sister, Bethanie, had a tough race in the under-17 women's 100m but came through with character.
Although missing out on a medal, placing fourth, she set a new PB of 12.73s.
The action continued in the hurdle races, where the under-20 women's race saw Kaneesha Johnson move up an age group and win the 100m hurdles in 14.8s and Nicola Gaisford won the bronze in 15.49s, closely followed by Vicki Wheatland, in fourth place in 15.67s.
Michael Holden produced a new PB of 14.86s in the junior men's 110m hurdles to take the silver medal and he also cleared 3.80m in the pole vault for another silver.
Jessica Cutts ran a PB of 12.85s in the under-17 women's 80m hurdles for fourth place and Rachel Swain also had a PB of 13.51s. In the same event, Stacey Wheat stepped out to retain her 1,500m title in the junior women's race, striding away from the rest of the field to win impressively in 4m 43.51s.
Amy Spiller followed up her impressive 200m races from day one to win her way through to the final of the 100m for under-15 girls - her best time on the day being 13.34s.
Rachel Gooday set herself a new PB of 8m in the under-15 girls' shot putt.
The action then turned to the 400m races, where Louis Persent put in another outstanding performance, when he stormed round the track to take the junior men's title in a new PB of 47.36s.
Heather Shepherd won her way to the 400m final, finishing fifth in 59.63s, in the senior women's race, while Felicity Abbott also made the final of the junior women's race, with a best time of 66.18s.
The under-17 men's races saw David Lo just miss out on a medal, with a new PB of 50.91s.
Cameron Irvine was fifth, in 51.12s, and Tom Cutts ran 55.57s to bring to close a fantastic day two of the championships.
