Gigawave MotorSport's fantastic start to the FIA GT Championship continued at Monza, with third place - for the second time in two races.
The result gives the drivers from the Earls Colne-based team a total of 12 Championship points.
Gigawave are the only British-based team competing in the GT1 class of the FIA Championship and collected a third place at their first-ever outing at Silverstone last month.
At Monza - the home of the Italian Grand Prix - Gigawave's Allan Simonsen climbed up to second place in another rollercoaster race, having started in seventh, before going off at the famous Parabolica curve.
However, he managed to get his Aston Martin DBR9 back on track and pitted, where Philipp Peter took over for the middle stint of the race.
"Allan put in a blistering first stint, making four places by the end of the first lap," said team principal Fenton Yeulett.
"Although he had a slight off at Parabolica - while lapping a slower GT2 car - there was no major damage done.
"Philipp's pace was awesome and was pivotal in the race outcome,"
Simonsen was delighted to get on the podium again and added: "After a brush with the tyres, a podium finish is probably more than we could have expected.
"I was passing a Porsche in the Parabolica and crossed over, losing the front downforce, and ran into the tyres."
Having to fight back from further down the field, Peter nevertheless drove a brilliant race and got the car back up into third position before Simonsen returned for the final stint.
Despite a late drive-through penalty, he held on to clinch the team's second podium place in two races.
"You always strive for consistency and two podiums in two races shows that the team has that," said Peter.
"I'm happier with this result than at Silverstone because, in this race, we were chasing and couldn't have done any more.
"The car worked well and the team put in some very quick pit stops, which really helped get us up the field."
The team picked up six more Championship points, which gives the drivers 12 points each, just behind the leaders on 15.
Gigawave's director of race technologies, Nigel Stepney, felt it was down to a great team effort.
"We've done it again, another third, which we're delighted with," he said.
"Both drivers put in fantastic stints and the boys had some great pit stops, helping us to achieve this result.
"We're not totally sure about the drive-through penalty but it's something we must accept and move on from.
"We still made it onto the podium."
Yeulett added: "This goes to show that Silverstone was not a one-off.
"We've performed brilliantly in both wet and dry conditions, which gives us confidence to move forward to the rest of the Championship."
