Watch out - watch out Craig Lesiak is about!

Coggeshall's big-hitting all-rounder Craig Lesiak that is.

The Seedgrowers medium pace swing bowler is rapidly making a name for himself as a batsman, as his career best 144 not out, opening the batting in last week's big PDQ Cars league premier division win over mid-Essex neighbours Witham proved.

It was not Lesiak's first massive century, however. But his latest effort eclipsed his previous best 140 by four runs.

And as Coggeshall warm up for this weekend's Bank Holiday programme, at home to Wivenhoe on Sunday and Colchester on Monday, skipper Jimmy Rees said: "I think Craig could be looking for a new role as a batsman in our side.

"He used to open the batting and bowling in Coggeshall twos and I know he is looking to bat higher up the order in first team cricket.

"He could find himself opening against Frinton in the Two Counties Championship tomorrow."

Elsewhere, league leaders Frinton host struggling Kelvedon and Feering at Ashlyns Road and bottom club Witham entertain Clacton.

Division one pace-setters Halstead are at West Bergholt on Monday, while runaway second division leaders Bocking, still boasting a 100 per cent winning record after five games entertain Colchester's Sunday seconds and travel to third placed Great Bentley on Monday.
