Clacton Cricket Club are brimming with potential, according to upbeat chairman Neil Cavender.
And with no relegation from the division this summer, he believes their fledgling stars have a perfect opportunity to learn and adapt to East Anglian Premier League cricket.
Clacton boast a wealth of young talent - the likes of wicket-keeper David Sargeant, Imran Sheikh, Scott Facey, Lewis Kirk and Essex protege Michael Comber - to supplement experienced players such as skipper Martin Smith, Maroof Khan and new South African Craig Williams.
Cavender told the Gazette: "It's a learning curve for everyone and certainly very exciting for Clacton Cricket Club.
"The fact there's no relegation from the division this year is a huge boost, as it gives us the time and breathing space to blood young lads and turn them into EAPL players.
"We're looking to have as many young players in the team as possible and it's a deliberate strategy with the future of the club in mind.
"Every single one of them is capable of being very good.
"I'm sure there will be ups and downs along the way, in terms of performances, but we're going to stick with them and be patient."
Cavender, who recently celebrated his 50th year with Clacton, added: "The young players showed their potential in last week's victory at Bury St Edmunds.
"Everyone played a part and virtually everyone chipped in with a few very valuable runs against quality opposition."
No sides will suffer the dreaded drop this year due to the league being given a revamp and expanded from ten to a dozen from next year.
And in addition to the rising stars at Vista Road, Cavender admits being very satisfied with his two new overseas stars - all-rounder Williams and Australian batsman Andrew Turner, who scored a half-century against Bury.
"We're very chuffed and both have already shown a lot of commitment to the club.
"Craig, especially, has a lot of experience and the younger players relate to him very well.
"All in all, the spirit at the club is excellent and the new lads have gelled very quickly."
The Seasiders are back in EAPL action tomorrow when they entertain Great Witchingham.
