COLCHESTER United were beaten 2-1 at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday afternoon, in Matt Bloomfield's first game in charge.
Kwesi Appiah's header gave the U's the lead at the Cherry Red Records Stadium but Josh Davison's brace sealed the Dons win.

First half controlled the game well not sure what happened at half time team talk seemed clueless again at times. picked up again in the last few minutes but to little to late. Stewards also very poor seemed like they wanted trouble with fans for no reason

If Matt Bloomfield didn’t understand the task ahead of him, he sure will now. First half had positives and we looked much better going forward. But second half was a bit of reverting to type and switched off at key points. Eastman needs to get a run in the team over Dallison.

Felt we deceived something from the game, first half looked better but conceded early in second half and lost our momentum. Full week with new coach before next league game so hopefully can work some magic. Onwards and hopefully upwards.

Hopefully we will see Hornby and Eastman back in the team where they belong sooner rather than later.
Ben Halliday
Disappointing result. But the most worrying thing for me was seeing Steve Ball alongside our new gaffer in the dugout. Hopefully Bloomfield gets his own backroom staff in this week and the old failed faces are taken back upstairs away from 1st team affairs
Jonathan Brown
Feel like we deserved a draw. Lots of positivity going forward but not clinical enough. Matt Bloomfield has plenty to think about.
Mister Blu Sky
Deserved a draw. Controlled the game for first 20 mins, then lost the energy end of the 1st half, sluggish coming out after half time when they equalised. Last 15 we did everything but score. Need to be sharper for longer but the pieces are there if MB can put it together.
David Clayton
More positive in possession & tactically, but still struggling to create. Overall an improvement on recent games the lack of quality really shows. A big squad is not by default a good squad. Hopefully MB can find a system that works.
Pinault Noire
Performance was improved but Bloomfield has a lot of work to do. Always looked shaky in defence. Attack reverted to big man/long ball tactics and it nearly paid off, but still felt uninspired. There’s a good team in there but needs coaching.
Doug
Decent first half, the goal gave the team confidence and they played some nice football. The early goal in the second killed that confidence and the changes in response were too many and too soon and we never gained any momentum. Great save from Lubala to stop us getting a point.
Adam Kieran
Sounded a much better performance today. We’re in a dire situation, but if the players get behind the manager we could be okay.
Sean Kelly
Let’s see how he sets the side up next Saturday, it’s hardly fair to judge today but he needs to weed out the crap and get a bit of spite back in the side.looks like too many having a free ride at the moment
Danny Binks
We gave them a tough game. They were clearly relieved when final whistle went. Still a few players in team who are not up to it and confidence needs building with the final ball into box and attempts on goal. Nobody looks like a natural goal scorer
Mr Wilks
Great effort first half, sloppy opening 15mins for the second half cost us. Wimbledon were very lucky to hang on, we fully deserved at least a point. Our goal came from some great football. Shame to see some crowd trouble with the stewards. Need to start getting some wins!

Pretty confident Bloomfield can get them going well. Different level to Brown or Ball and better all round skills as well. Give him time, just like Parky had.
Mr B
Same as last week, and the week’s previous to that. Nothing is changing. I pity the hangers on that still go to games, wasting their time, money and effort.
