COLCHESTER United were beaten 1-0 at Newport County AFC, on Saturday afternoon.

Will Evans' seventh-minute header was enough to condemn the U's to defeat, at Rodney Parade.

Colchester have now dropped into the League Two relegation zone, following back-to-back defeats.

U's fans have their say on their side's reverse, in South Wales.

Sad times. Time to let Bloomfield actually manage the team!! Directors clearly having influence. Why would a new manager (and most before) all play the same negative formation? Can we have a statement from the Director of Performance please explaining Performance?

Colin Clarke

61% possession and 1 shot on target. Dire

Robert Fleming

Our inability to create good chances away from home is going to cost us. Feel anyball which is put in the box leaves the attacker alot to do. Cannot remember the last time we consistently created chances within the gold zone to allow our attacker a first time shot /finish

Tony C

Haven’t seen the game but unless we start scoring we are not getting out of trouble. Big miss @kwes1appiah hopefully have him back soon as what I have seen he will get us goals.

Humes must go. These tactics don’t work no matter which puppet you put in the ‘Head Coach’ role. If Cowling had a scrap of decency he’d give autonomy to Bloomfield, rather than make him the next in line paying for the failures of Humes and Co.

GCtiger07

Whilst most businesses reduce their spans and layers of middle management Cowling packs the club out with failed ex managers in unnecessary positions for L2. Why still put money into club but stick with failing formula. Bizarre.

Duncan Stonehouse

Doesn’t seem to matter who the head coach is or who is his assistant, or how much time they spend using our excellent training facilities; there seems to be something stopping them actually picking a team or style of play that gets the best out of the squad. Very worrying times.

What exactly has Bloomfield changed? We still play the same system and same turgid football. What was the point of sacking Brown?

Freddie Emerson

Cowling out. We are the worst team in the efl

Marcus T

One shot on target…this isn’t the first match either. We are destined for relegation unless things change quickly!

Tom

Copy and paste from the last two seasons! Not good enough, how some of these players are getting in the starting line up is beyond me! They must be incredible in training! Still early days for Bloomfield but a lot of hard work and improvement needed urgently!!

I know it’s still October but we are in deep trouble here two massive home games to come lose them and we are national league incoming.

Could play on for hours and not score. Club is being destroyed. We’ve rode our luck on relegation for 2 years now and I think this is it. Experienced manager was needed but once again the wrong decision was made. The club has gotten to this point by never ending wrong decisions

Paul Olorenshaw

Not printable Jon sick and tired of it now. Bloomfield needs to be a magician to turn this terrible squad around

The result of years of rot setting into the club will be relegation. This is all on Cowling. He needs to accept his mistake, get a manager in, and lose Humes, because nothing has changed.

Michael O'Brien

Desperate. Whilst the toxicity of Humes and Ball remains in situ nothing will change. Pity Bloomfield, but our recruitment guru Chairperson should not have brought a rookie in to a relegation fight.

Anthony

Worrying times at the club things are getting worse and worse each week and at this point it wouldn't suprise me if finally this is the season which we go down

Code-Zero

What everyone else has said!

Joshua Shreeve

1 Shot on Target never good enough. Massive game on Tuesday

Adam

This club needs change, from top to bottom. Get that leech Humes out of this club

Ben Yousif

We need to get relegated bored of us in this league now
