Runners are under starters' orders for the return of a charity event.
The Brantham Fun Run is back after being out of the village calendar since 2002.
The run was originally stopped because of a lack of people to organise it.
Now villagers say it is time to bring it back.
Talented runner Shaun Webb, 15, of Brantham, will be at the start line to set the runners off.
Shaun qualified for the World School's Cross Country event in April and came 23rd.
The East Bergholt High School pupil has had a string of achievements including coming first in the English National Cross Country event in February.
The Fun Run takes place on Friday June 20 at 7.30pm. Registration is at Brantham Leisure Centre, New Village.
The first route for braver entrants is five miles long. They must be over 16 to take part.
The second route is one mile long and for any age.
Car parking is available at ICI ImageData, Factory Lane.
A barbecue will be on the go at the end.
Entry forms can be obtained from Brantham Leisure Centre and returned to 12 Hardy Close, Brantham.
The deadline for advance applications is June 13 although you can enter on the day.
The five mile route costs £5 for running club members to enter or £7 for non-members.
The one mile route costs £3.
There is an extra fee of £2 for those entering on the day and they must register by 7pm.
