It was a case of medals galore for members of Braintree and Bocking Swimming Club at the West Suffolk Open at Bury St Edmunds.
Fourteen swimmers from the club took part with the goal of obtaining or improving times for the upcoming Regional Championships at Norwich later this month.
Between them they collected 39 top-ten finishes, with eight gold, six silver and three bronze medals obtained.
Top medal earners with five apiece were 11-year-old Hannah Travell and David Fryatt.
Travell picked up three golds (200 metres back, 200m fly and 50m free) and two silvers (100m fly, 200m free).
Fryatt claimed a gold (200m fly), a silver (200m medley) and three bronze (200m breaststroke, 200m backstroke, 50m fly).
Another winner for Braintree was 12-year-old Luke Durban who collected two gold (50m and 100m free) and one silver (200m backstroke).
Also swimming to two golds was 12-year-old Helen Mitchell (200m free and 200m medley) and a silver in her 100m free, while 12-year-old Lewis Birks rounded out the medal winners with a silver from his 200m fly event.
Tom and Daniel McLagan, Ben Durban, Elliott Birks, Matthew Horne, Paige Dutton, Harriet Bartram-Baird and Millie and Grace Bauckham also competed for Braintree at the event.
Between them there were many personal bests (PBs).
