Ashley Blacknall was the star of the show as Wickham Bishops pulled off a shock first round win in the PDQ cars League Knockout Cup.
Blacknall top scored with 62 as Wickham Bishops of division five swpt aside third division Little Clacton by 44 runs at Great Totham Road.
There was victory also for strong fifth division outfit Stebbing (126 without loss) over over division two Ardleigh (125 for nine).
Peter Willingale was in magnificent form with an undefeated 149 as Great Totham of division two saw-off Chappel by 96 runs.
Kevin Mays also weighed in with a half-century as Totham posted 279 for seven before bowling out Chappel for 183.
Elsewhere, James Crafford, five for 12, bowled Eight Ash Green (34 without loss) to a ten-wicket win over Real Oddies (33 all out).
Neill Hunt and Peter Lodge hit 75 and 45 respectively to see West Bergholt (202 for seven) to a 67-run success over over Kirby (135 all out). Tommy Lawes hit 52 for Kirby.
Jordan Reed remained not out on 78 as Bromley (185 for four) beat Bentley (98 all out) by 87 runs in the battle of the Greats' on The Green.
Left-hander Danny Skinner hit 53 as Cavaliers (162 for nine) got the better of division four leaders Braintree College (132) by 30 runs.
All-rounder Gareth Fisher enjoyed the kind of day all cricketers dream about as Colchester and East Essex (178 for four) crushed Boxted 177 for seven by six wickets.
Left-arm medium-pacer Fisher returned bowling figures of four 14 in the Boxted innings, which featured a knock of 57 from Ian Evans, before taking over with the bat to hit 54, the same score as his Colchester team-mate Malintha Gajanayake, who was still there not out at the end.
