Great game played some great stuff hopefully we finish a very poor season on a high
Dave B
Glad Garner has his first win, hopefully a first of many - I'd almost forgotten what a win is. Can't fathom if we were really good or whether Crewe was just that bad. Desperately needed 3 points that hopefully boosts confidence going into next week
David Clayton
Dominant from start to finish. Some nice football on a very difficult pitch.Good performances throughout the team but Ashley deserves special praise; he was everywhere & set the tone. Hall continues to impress; his signing is a real coup. Hopefully a momentum shift to season’s end
John S
Haven’t seen us play that well in years. Absolutely incredible shift when we needed it most
Sean
Lovely stuff
Danny
Brilliant all round performance from everyone , pressing the ball was the best I have seen all season from our midfield. If we can play like that in the next 5 matches our league status will remain for another season.
Craig Bannock
Best performance of the season so far in my opinion, every player wanted to win today and gave their all! Today shows what we can achieve when we play with purpose and passion!
Sue
Think they had a sugar rush over weekend to many Easter Eggs lol ,if that’s the case carry on eating them well done lads
Code-Zero
Great performances throughout the side but Akinde and Tovide are the partnership for next season imo. Hopper was an odd signing to begin with and will struggle to get back in the side after today.
Sean Kelly
Much deserved win,we are so solid at the back now with the three and I thought Ashley was brilliant in the midfield today.Just needed the goals to come and they did,Up the U’s

Saw the game thru the eyes of a neutral. Midfield looked good & strikers took their goals well. Crewe just threw high balls to CBs so easy day. Gap between wing backs and back 3 would give me sleepless nights should striker drop off a shoulder. Battled hard & totally dominant
Andy Drake
Dominated from the start. Great performance by all the players. Looked hungry and up for the challenge
Danny Binks
Excellent confident hard working performance. Well done to all. Keep it up please
Sibbo
Ashley brilliant Hall brilliant Akinde Tovide should stay up front best pairing for me.
Andy Kettle
Ossama Ashley my man of the match. He was relentless in the middle of the park. Wanted to win every tackle and make every pass successful. Great team performance today, you could see they wanted that win. Up the U’s
Rob Shrimpton
Ossama Ashley was massive
Frankie hobbs
One word unreal
Nathan Tansley

Renaissance Men
A rocking JCS and Garnerball. What a superb afternoon.
Duncan Stonehouse
Was a must win game and we delivered; excellent team performance; enjoying that winning feeling!
Si Collinson
Wow, that was a pleasant surprise, shows how when we click we can play some good football. 4 points clear now. This season will be decided against Crawley. So hopefully build some more momentum Saturday to take into that game.
Georgina Davies
What a performance by the boys, why can't we do that more often and we wouldn't be fighting to stay up, looking forward to Salford, let's do the same there
Alan Wiffen
A lot better Crewe were the the taking unlike the other home games Colchester done the business this time
Steve Lowe
Don’t know where that performance came from but that was very entertaining today went home happy for once
