COLCHESTER United were beaten 2-1 at Wrexham on Saturday to slide to a fifth successive league defeat.
Jayden Fevrier's late strike proved only a consolation, as Elliot Lee's early strike and Zach Mitchell's own goal saw the U's fall to defeat at the Racecourse Ground.
Colchester fans have their say on another disappointing result for their team.

Please tell coaching staff that pretty football & possession does not win football matches. Waited 40 mins after sending off before he brought on 2nd striker. Everyone in way end could see what needed to be done but he failed to make the changes early enough. Cheap option failed

Same old. Not good enough and a manger who seems to watch a different game by the sounds of it from his post match press conference. The fact Wrexham were happy for us to have the ball shows how poor we are in possession and what little threat we pose.

No amount of pretty triangles in midfield will win games when you're light up top and gift wrap goals for the opposition. We need a new man in charge before the window opens as there are no signs that Etherington can turn this team around and he sounded beaten in his interview.

The manager got it totally wrong, the tactical change helped Wrexham control the game in MF. I thought Colchester controlled the game at 11 v 11 and the rest of the 1st half without any cutting edge. Parky showed his experience and Etherington showed his lack of.

Top 6 budget but firefighting against relegation. When will the tough questions be asked to the board on why this pattern seems to continue?

After the sending off Wrexham stopped the U’s playing through the middle the manager should have put Akinde and Iandolo on sooner as Iandolo and Fevrier looked dangerous out wide they had space and put some good crosses in. Credit to Wrexham their experience & nous counted

Absolute tactical farce. ME is a mistake & needs to go. To need a goal & manage to not have Jay, Chilvers or Cooper on the pitch is impressively inept. No leadership again, aside from Kelleher. One positive; Iandolo back & immediately providing balance & quality from the left.

Etherington just needs to resign tonight, or get sacked. We had no end product today, should've started with two up top. Change is never going to happen until Cowling and Etherington leave

beyond disappointing. Wrong formation from the start, no changes when we went up a man. Wrexham wanted it more and our players look like they have given up. Matt Etherington spending the whole game with his hands in his pockets isn't a good look either ... On to the next 🙌
Richard Hartwell
Etherington is out of his depth, clearly has no idea and no passion. On the way out of the ground he looked totally deflated and defeated. I probably shouldn’t have asked him if he’d resigned yet! He needs to go now.
Jason Cronin
I was there and Etherington is so out of his depth it’s embarrassing.
