COLCHESTER United drew 1-1 with Bromley in League Two, on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Cheek gave the Ravens a first-half lead from the penalty spot but substitute Owura Edwards converted Jack Payne's cross at the far post to equalise for the U's, on the hour.

Colchester fans have their say on a second successive 1-1 draw for Danny Cowley's side.

Started strong and finished strong. We were flying from the kick off. Unfortunately a couple of small errors at the back appeared to wobble us. Very good second half though, I feel we were unlucky not to get the second goal.

Iandolo is struggling for form atm. Second half was a very hard watch, even with a solid team performance. The ref gave far too many soft decisions and not giving the big ones. Massive late pen shout waved off, a really obvious one not to give after the one he gave to Bromley.

Same issues keep holding us back; basic errors & poor decision making & delivery in the final third. That said, it’s a new team & I’m confident it will click soon & we’ll be a real force. Taylor linked play really well & Edwards changed the game. Goodliffe needs to start, injury permitting

Adam

Poor first half and much better second half. These refs are so inconsistent and 5 penalty shouts and none given, seemed like the ref really wanted Bromley to have that point. Need Edwards to start more as he's been electric on that left hand side.

Yet again it’s the ref centre stage. Isn’t it about time we got one who is consistent for both sides. Soft pen for them but play on when Taylor had his legs taken away, subs improved us 2nd half.

All said & done it’s 1 win out of 5 and the opposition at times has been poor so lots of dropped points. A few weak links in the side letting us down but Taylor looked handy I thought with some of his touches. Giving the ball away and final ball seem to be our achilles

Ben Harrison

Very poor 1st half, improved 2nd half but we can't be happy with a point today, ref wanted to make it all about him and gave us absolutely nothing all afternoon

Once again the talk is about the officials rather than the game. We had a much better second half. But individual errors are costing us and we don’t look together at times. Need to turn these draws into wins.

Shane Almond

Poor first half, better second half and man of the match should have been the ref for Bromley! That sum it up enough? Still dust ourselves off and we go again. Up The U's
