COLCHESTER United were 3-0 winners over Tranmere Rovers in League Two, on Saturday afternoon.

Two goals from Lyle Taylor and a second-half Samson Tovide strike secured the U's all three points, in front of a crowd of 4,243 at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Here are the views of U's fans following their side's comprehensive home victory.

A complete performance today. What we have all wanted to see from the squad. Everything was there. This needs to be the level we achieve every game from now on.

Steve Duckling

We knew this result was coming. We can see the signs and it was just a matter of time. Great response after last week. 3 goals and nice to see all scored by strikers. Solid at the back and good movement to create the space we needed to attack.

Ben Harrison

What a difference a killer in the box makes, 2 well taken goals from Taylor, few shaky moments but had everything under control, Samson getting a third and a clean sheet topping off a very good afternoon, that's the standard set now onto next week

Performance of real authority, which is great to see after last week. Every player performed. Tovide &Taylor getting better each game. Best display so far from Bishop, hugely influential & set the tempo. Starting to come together.

Played so much better today, Tovide and Taylor up front both fantastic. Can't fault any player today they all played well and a couple of fantastic saves from Macey, can't wait for Walsall

Anthony Clachan

First half brilliant second half a bit shaky defensively but never looked like conceding Macey with some brilliant saves as well and Tovide and Taylor looked a right handful as well so credit to everyone today gotta now take this into the Walsall game next weekend

Adam

Team really starting to gel, Tovide and Taylor is a great partnership. Payne, Bishop and Woodyard is a great midfield trio. This is the performance we needed, glad to get the 3 points. Up the U's
