A LATE equaliser from Lyle Taylor helped Colchester United claim an away point at Barrow.
Taylor's stoppage-time strike, his fifth of the season, enabled the U's to come away from their long trip to Holker Street with a point, after Elliot Newby had given the Bluebirds a first-half lead.
There were 132 Colchester fans in attendance to see Danny Cowley's share the points, in League Two.
Here are some supporters' views on the 1-1 draw.
Kevin Barnes
Only positives were Tovide and Taylor, and the fact that the team keep going until the final whistle, but other than that, we are desperate for a strong vocal captain and to start the game trying to win it not just to avoid defeat
Si Collinson
Wasn’t pretty or a game that will last long in the memory, but given our form would have happily taken a point before kickoff. Now to try and build on this.
David Clayton
Deserve credit for fighting to a point but clear issues in the team. Lack of quality in wide areas prevent counter attacks &keeps defence under pressure. Bigger issue away from home when playing 2 CDM. Great impact from Samson. Need to enjoy watching him while we can.
Steve Duckling
Yet another awful performance. We looked like school children just chasing the ball for most of the game. We certainly snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat today. We need a good vocal Capt and Flannagan isn’t that player for me. Finished well and Tovide looked sharp.
Tracey Welsh
A very valuable point. Trade mark defensive howler for their goal. Attack to conceding in a flash. Improved in the 2nd half and Samson was the spark. T & T partnership is pivotal to our safety and hopefully progress. Could this be the turning point in our season? Lets hope it is.

Not a pleasant watch by any means. Opposition always look to be in so much more control with time on their hands and able to pass the ball to an available player, we don’t seem to be able to do any of this. Fought better 2nd half but we should be able to be much better, surely?
