In the John Fowler Memorial Cup first round, FC Byair beat FC Straws 5-0, with a brace each for Hammarton and Stephenson plus one for Martin.
Dog and Pheasant travelled to Norfolk Destroyers and came away with a 4-3 victory with a Jackson hat-trick and one from Amey, while Polstead went two up at home to Botolphs but eventually went down 5-3.

In the Wally Castle Invitational Trophy, Northgate Athletic beat AFC Phoenix Reserves 3-1 thanks to an Abed brace and one from Elmakhleh.
Brightlingsea Regent beat AFC Colchester 7-2 with a Griggs hat-trick and one each for the Sauka boys, Day and Barton.
In division two, it was 2-2 after 80 minutes between Riverview and Revolution, but the referee decided the match could go on no longer and abandoned it.
Roach and Roberts scored for Riverview, while Fox and Lake were on target for Revolution and whether the result stands or not will be decided by the management committee.
Division three saw Ramsey United Reserves get a much-needed win as they beat FC Drury 7-2 with strikes from Nee (2), D Arden, S Arden, Lough, Rudkin and an own goal.
Feering United beat Elmstead Athletic 6-3 in division four thanks to goals from Everitt (2), Stone, Fisher, Birch and Fitzgerald, while Colchester Spartans went down 4-0 at home to Newtown Rovers, who had Hood, O’Brien, Parker and Dees on target.
Newtown Reserves weren’t so succesful in division five as they went down 4-2 at home to Stone Island.
On target for the Islanders were Wolton (2), Reid and Chief.
Corecalona beat Athletico Colchester 2-1, with Auty and Harrison on target.
In division six, Clarendon beat Colchester United Deaf 6-2 with four goals from Kemble and others by Barr and Rollason.
