The 50m breaststroke was a fiercely-fought record as masters swimmer James Heathcote beat Youssefi’s existing record with 33.03s but soon after Youssefi won it back with a swim of 32.05s.
Bronwyn Carter was also in superb form to break another three records in the girls’ races – 50m freestyle in 29.08s, 50m breaststroke in 38.37s and 100m individual medley in one minute 11.91s.
