Colchester United played out an entertaining goal-less draw with promotion hopefuls Scunthorpe United this afternoon.
Both sides had chances to win the match at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Scott Vernon and substitute Steven Gillespie spurned gilt-edged opportunities for the U's.
And Ben May and Gary Hooper both squandered good chances for Iron.
However, neither team was able to break the deadlock, in front of a crowd of 4,606.
