Richard Wright has strenuously denied talk of a rift in the Ipswich Town camp.
The goalkeeper was reacting to reports that an alleged secret meeting between boss Jim Magilton and eight of his ‘hardcore’ first-choice players had caused a division in the Blues camp.
But Wright dismissed that suggestion and felt his side highlighted their unity perfectly in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Coventry City.
Kevin Lisbie grabbed both goals as his side twice fought back from behind to grab a point.
Wright said: “It was a tough game but we showed great determination to come back with two equalisers, especially after going behind in the first minute.
“Everyone wants to do well for this football club, from the manager and coaching staff to the players.
“We want to beat everyone and believe we can win every game.
“This apparent negative atmosphere is non-existent within the club.
“There’s a great spirit, camaraderie and togetherness and that was reflected in the way we played and the fact we came back from behind.
“Everyone’s desperate to do well and we’re all pulling in the same direction.
“There’s certainly no rift among the players – nothing like that.”
