David Fox netted on his home debut as Colchester United beat Yeovil Town 2-1.
Fox fired in from the edge of the area in the ninth minute to send the U's on their way against the Glovers, at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Paul Lambert's side were in fine form, particularly in the first half and Yeovil had little answer to their flowing football.
Colchester doubled their lead in the 18th minute through Ashley Vincent, who headed Simon Hackney's cross past Yeovil goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from close range.
The U's might easily have added to their lead before half-time, with Vincent, Kevin Lisbie and Lee Beevers all going close.
Lisbie found himself through on goal at the beginning of the second half only for his touch to elude him when it mattered, while at the other end, U's goalkeeper Ben Williams saved well from Ryan Mason.
Mason then netted with a fine low free-kick with eight minutes to ensure a nervy finish.
But Colchester held on to make it two league wins out of two, in Coca-Cola League One.

Meanwhile, Colchester will travel to face Coca-Cola League One rivals Gillingham, in the opening round of this season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
It is a repeat of last season's JPT tie between the two clubs at the Priestfield Stadium, which the U's won 1-0.
The tie will be played week commencing August 31.
