Paul Lambert has said he cannot wait to get started as Norwich City manager.
Lambert resigned as Colchester United boss last night and has been unveiled as the Canaries boss in a press conference at Carrow Road this morning.
Lambert will watch his new side in the stands tonight when they play Brentford.
His first game in charge will ironically be against another one of his former clubs - Wycombe Wanderers - at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Speaking at the press conference, Lambert said: "The first Saturday we came here I knew how big a club it was, with a fantastic fanbase and excellent stadium and facilities.
"It's a big club and there is no way we should be where we are, not with everything we have going for us behind the scenes.
"We want to get promoted but we certainly understand there are going to be some challenges if that is going to be a reality.
"I will be watching the game tonight and then work starts in earnest as we prepare for Wycombe.
"I will ve meeting with players and staff over the next couple of days, I can't wait to get started."
