Roy Keane believes former club Nottingham Forest can be an inspiration for Ipswich Town.
The Blues boss returns to the City Ground tomorrow, hoping his side can build on last weekend’s double-header of victories against Reading and Derby.
And he says Forest – where he spent three years, between 1990 and 1993 – can be a good example to his side, in the way they have revived their Championship fortunes.
The Midlanders just dodged relegation by finishing 19th last season but have been firmly in the hunt for automatic promotion this year, along with Newcastle and West Brom.
“Forest have had a very good season, considering where they were this time last year,” said Keane.
“They’ve invested well and brought in some very good players.
“It gives us all a bit of hope that we can turn things round pretty quickly.”
