Jack Colback notched a coveted double at the Ipswich players’ awards evening in Kesgrave.
The Sunderland loanee was named Players’ Player-of-the-Year and received his prize from skipper Jon Walters.
He also walked away with the goal of the season award, for his early strike at Blackpool in the FA Cup.
Jaime Peters won the Most Improved Player-of the-Year award, Gareth McAuley picked up the boxholders and sponsors gong and Tom Eastman was named Academy Player-of-the-Year.
The Colchester-born defender, who grew up and lives in Clacton, has been on the bench for Town’s last three games, against Derby, Nottingham Forest and Doncaster.
He failed to get on but could make his debut before the end of the season – possibly in Saturday’s mouth-watering match at champions Newcastle.
